New army - Q series part 2

I was quite sure that they both were giant because they grew much faster and bigger than the rest (their father was a giant) in the community tank. He  built such a massive bubble nest , which was about 6" x 6", couldnt believe my eyes! They had gave birth to a batch of healthy fry. I believed that i was a step closer to achieve my giant dream.

New army - Q series part 3

He was the only pure blue among 100 siblings with bi-coloured parents. I thought he was a female and almost let it bred with another male betta because he had a pair of short ventral fins. Luckily, he built a bubble nest before i released it with another male,,,sweat...LOL.

New addition - Super red

I have been looking to add a super red to the family for quite some time. Finally, i was lucky to catch this piece at my usual aquarium outlet. I have let it bred with red dragon female successfully. Hopefully, there will be some super red in his offspring.

New Army - N series part 2

She was the chosen one for mating with super red hmpk which i bought recently. She had gave birth to a good batch of fry. I planned to let her in-breed with his father(red dragon), hopefully to get some full mask red dragons in the offspring...pray hard.

New Army - R series Jewel

I was really excited to notice this young army. He was active and powerful. Also, he never shy to meet girl or a giant double his size. I called him 'Jewel' because his body shown a sparkling effect when light shone on him. Awesome!

Both of them were pedigreed.They had quite a big family, about 30 . These two were particular outstanding, both in form and agility. These three guys were camera shy at first. After put them in individual container for one week, then problem solved. They were active and full of "fighting spirit". New army - Q series part 1

I was surprised to notice this guy because his father was a blue-red giant and mother was a fancy white dragon. Perhaps, he got all the white colour gene from his mother. The only disappointment was that his caudal fin had only 2 rays.

 I was really delighted that my new army was finally ready to be on my blog. These two comrades were quite marvellous in form, though not in colour. They both were giant geno, this was also my second step toward my giant dream.

GIANT DREAM

 

Giant betta always gives me an impression of powerful and commanding status in the betta  world. I  especially like the built of giant betta which other lacks. These pair had gave birth to a good number of fry. I wish that the next generation will not only have the built , but also a good pattern of fins.

                   This selected pair have gave birth to a healthy small batch of fry.
I was so excited and could not wait to see them turn into adult betta.

NEW RECRUIT 3 - RED

I had no plan to buy this piece, but could not resist his charm and the low price (rm12). He was young and energetic; moving in the jar all the time. :)

NEW RECRUIT 2 - FULL MASK COPPER

This was the first full mask copper in my collection. Also, he had a clean and shining copper colouration. For the record, i bought this piece for rm40.

NEW RECRUIT 1 - GIANT

I always like the build of giant, but i was not willing to pay too much on buying one. Thus, i decided to buy this cheap piece to cross with others. Hopefully, i will get a better finnage with good build on his offsprings.

OUT OF THE BLUE 2

Both her parents were green red hmpk, most of the siblings were also green red. She was really borned out of the blue. Althought her fins were not desirable, but i like the blue on her body which has a abstract effect.

BLACK COPPER

Her father was red copper and mother was red white. She was the only black copper. The red dot on her body was merely a reflection on the photographic tank.

ORANGE WINE 2

This was one of my best red halfmoon, she could flare her anal fin 180 degrees easily. She was a proud mother of more than 100 fry. :)
