ARMAGEDDON

He was the fourth generation from my first red dragon pair bought about 15 months ago. I managed to improve the dorsal fin through selective breeding. I was surprised to get this guy with an improved ventral fin also. Moreover, he was aggressive and flared his fins most of the time. Each time I looked at him, he really took my breath away.

GLASSY CLASSY

He may be a bit timid and shy, but he always looked cool. I liked the reflection of his caudal fin, which had a nice pattern and definitely a great pleasure to look at it.

BLUE-YELLOW DT HM

The objective of recruiting this guy was to add big dorsal gene to the next generation. He had successfully spawned but only five fries survived. LOL!

8-RAYS HMPK FEMALE

She was the first 8-rays female I bred. She had gave birth two healthy batches of fries. Really looking forward to have more 8-rays bettas. :)

SYMMETRICAL

 

He was symmetrical, powerful and a stunning beauty!

GRIZZLE

He was the very first grizzle I bred. Unfortunately, he died young and did not manage to pass down his grizzle gene. What a pity! :(

NATURAL GOLD

I was absolutely delighted to get this guy in the last spawn. Both his parents are neither gold or natural gold. Also, his body was clean except that he was only 95% masked.

RED DRAGON REBORN

Thought my red dragon strain had halted after a few failures to breed one. Have let this guy to mate with his sibling, hopefully the breeding will be a successful one. Pray, In God We Trust!

GOLDEN ROSE

Quite surprised to see this guy in community tank. He was active and liked to show off his golden rose fins all the time.

FANCY PROJECT

This female was the third generation from the cross between blue-red giant and red dragon female. I would use her to kick start my "fancy" project.

Happy Birthday Darling!

 A great day to post on my blog because today is my son's birthday. Wishing him getting wiser and not just getting older. Anyway, i want to tell him that i love him very much.

As for these red copper bettas, i wouldn't know how they were born from non-copper parents. Anyway, i was really happy to see them and they were simply awesome.

 In conjuction with the birthday of my pretty little daughter, i posted these red army to 'celebrate'  as i was not around her :(. Hope this will cheer her a bit. Also, i want to tell her that i love her very much.

RED DRAGON FEMALE HMPK

She was the most beautiful dragon female in the first batch. But i only spotted her 2 weeks ago. I try to let her breed twice, but failed. Guess she was too old (6 months old) to breed. However, i would try one more time, pray hard. Anyway, lesson learnt; got to breed betta before they reached 5 months old.

BI-COLOURED WARRIOR

 He was discovered after four months in community tank. He had good  and bright coloured scales. Also, he had a eight-ray caudal fin which was OHMPK. I believed he was a good fighter also, because he was living in a community tank with about 15 males for the last 4 months.

Young and Old

Both photos were the same betta, top was old, bottom was young. It was really amazing to see the changes in the same betta, like having two different bettas. No wonder so many betta hobbyists are fasinated by fancy, now i understand why...simply fanciful!
