22/7 My blue halfmoon listed on Trademe was sold to Morgan for $38. Evon Peters bought two female for $20 each.

Betta sale June

I put up 3 halfmoon Betta for sale on Thursday 12/6/25 at three different prices; $28,$33 n $38. One guy text me to view the Betta on Saturday. After add his mobile numbers in my phone, I found out that he was the the Korean guy whom I bought a few Betta earlier at Papatoetoe. He , Andrew, came on Sunday afternoon and bought two of them ($38 n $33), he requested a discount and willing to pay $60 for the two of them. I agreed. Without paying to trademe, I actually only $6 worst off. Happy trading! 21/6 The Korean, Andrew, bought a female Betta for nzd 20. 24/6 Andrew came to exchange a Betta as he believed that the Betta he bought earlier was a male. Also, he bought another female Betta for nzd25. Total sale nzd105.

Betta halfmoon 28/4/25

After the last sale of Betta in March 2024, I lost so many Betta due to disease. I have about 10 Betta left at the lowest point. Fortunately, I managed to breed some even my Betta already reached 7 months old. I decided to sell some Betta after 1 year lapsed. I sold black red halfmoon to Kiwi lady, Shewan, for nzd41. I also sold the marble halfmoon to a indian lady, Natasha for nzd48.50. 30/4/25 I sold black red plakat to a Maori man, Anton for nzd18. But he only collect the Betta after 12days, I was wondering that he might not want the Betta anymore. He apologized and told me that was due to in the midst of moving house. Anyway, I was glad the sale gone through. The last Betta I sold this round was a black head blue halfmoon, it was sold to a Maori lady, Evon Peters, for nzd28. Total sale nzd158.50.

Repeat purchase - 5/4/24

Roshan, Sri Lankan, bid my $1 fish till $32. Today he has decided to buy my red halfmoon which I earlier put up for sale at $78 but no taker . After he asked for further discount, I decided to lower my asking price to $55. He and his Vietnam girl friend picked up the Betta same day:)

 

Betta $1 Sale - 8/3/24

I put up four Betta for sale on Trademe at $1 each for bidding. The bidding will be closed on about 7.50pm 8/3/24. By 7.00pm, the Betta only bid at $1,$1,$2.50 and $4.00. To my surprise, the Betta bids reached $7.00, $10.50, $16.50 and $26.00. Hooray! The two hmpk betta sold to Wei Jie Liu, red-black hm sold to Kathy Varga and black fancy hm sold to Arsene.

Betta halfmoon - 21/2/24

This beautiful Betta was sold to a Kiwi lady, Danielle Strugnell, at $30. The buyer was a tall and big size lady probably around 25 years old. She told me that she could only collect this betta on her pay day. She picked it up at around 12 noon.

Betta hm - 11/2/33

I put up two betta hm for sale on Thursday 8/2/23. By Sunday night 11/2/23, one of the betta ($40) was sold and the buyer(Kiwi), Gerard, wanted to collect the betta at 8pm same day. He ended up bought my old Nemo halfmoon as well for $20. I really felt motivated to breed more betta after a few sale of b

etta in this month.

Betta hm - 7/2/23

The buyer, Danielle, who bought two Betta for her daughter earlier called me today for a visit. This time, she brought along her son and daughter. After struggling the decision whether to buy the brown hm or grizzle hm for a little while, her son finally decided to buy the grizzle hm. I sold this Betta to him at $30.

Betta hm - 4/2/24

I decided not to breed more halfmoon Betta, thus putting up this Betta for sale on Trademe at $38.00 with a "buy now" at $40.00. To my surprise, a Combodian by name of Viseth bought the Betta on Sunday night 8.30pm and immediately wanted to collect the Betta the same night(9.40pm). According to him, he was a breeder sometime ago. Now, he wants to restart the breeding. He also bought one female Betta (white marble)at $25.00. What a night!

Surprise sale 23-1-24

After few days putting three betta on sale at Trademe, a person requested to view the betta. I agreed to the viewing. The buyer, Danielle (Kiwi), turned up the next day and bought two of my older betta for her daughter as birthday present.  I sold the betta at $20 each. Although I sold them cheap but I actually delighted to sell them while they have already reached nine months old.

Red halfmoon - 22/10/23

I sold this beautiful Betta to a Cambodian, Saww, at a discounted price of $30. This Betta which was listed on Trademe earlier for $38, but no one bid for it. I was happy to sell him as I have no intention to breed it.

My new record sale -8/10/23

After I have tried a few sale without successful, I decided to list my Betta for sale on Trademe one more time. Instead of selling my Betta at low price, I priced the halfmoon Betta at nzd88, which was even higher than my last record sale of nzd78. To my surprise, the Betta was sold to a Combodian, Zaw, on the second day of the listing. Anyway, the Betta was my best halfmoon Betta. The only regret was that I did not manage to breed it before I sold him.

Betta On Fire

He was the big brother in this spawn. He has spawned a good numbers of fry. So, I decided to put him for sale in Trademe. The buyer, Stephanie, from Tauranga wanted to get it fast because she planned to go home on 25-1-23. She requested a buy now. So, I just added $2 for buy now price, $30. I was happy to sell it quick as I have no time to spawn this Betta

because of my travelling plan.

New recruit; Nemo 4/9/22

I had been thinking about adding some colours to my betta. I noticed that Trademe has a beautiful Nemo Betta for sale at $40 with a buy now at $50. I immediately hit the buy now afraid that someone would buy it first. The seller, Khoeun, was a Cambodian. He didn't has many betta at that time. So, I couldn't buy a matching female. To drive all the way to Hamilton to buy this betta was tiring but I felt it was worthwhile as this betta was a tip top N

emo betta. By the way, today 4/9/22 happened to be Father's day and also Patricia's birthday.

# 13/9 I managed to breed it. 16/9 I try to breed it again with a halfmoon betta.

Betta sale - Betta Mascot + Betta Monster - 24/4/22

I listed my betta mascot n betta monster on 20/4/22 at trademe. Thinking that I have no plan to breed it, why not sell it to make a little money. I listed mascot at $28 n monster at $18. To my surprise,  a Thai buyer offered $50 for my mascot on 21/4/22. He bought one of my female at $25 during collection of mascot on the following day. Hooray! 

On 27/4/22, betta monster was sold at $51. The buyer, Philix,  was from Ipoh. I had a good chat with him the next day. He bought another three female betta at $25 each. I gave him a $6 discount , total sale $120 . Praise the Lord!

4th breeding of the 5th generation - 14/12/20

All four pairs successfully hatched fry on 14/12/20. The four pairs were: 1) 6202 Blue 8R x Blue 4R 2) 6205 Blue 4R x Yellow copper 2R 3) 62012 Turquoise 4R x Red marble 2R 4) 62018 Red 4R x Red 2R. The 4th pair has fewer fry, while 2nd pair has many fry. I really excited n feel 'cant' wait to see the fry become adult especially 3rd n 4th pairs.

3rd breeding of 5th generation betta - 11/11/20

I tried to breed betta every month. Hopefully i manage to get the betta i desired through selective breeding. My immediate target was to get white colour n 'more' red colour betta. I have succeeded in breeding 3 pairs out of 4 pairs. The pairs were: 1) White-Green big caudal 4R x Green-red marble 2R (failed) 2) White-blue 4R x Blue 4R 3) Green-red-White 4R x Red copper 4R 4) Monster 6206 4R x Copper 2R

Another round of breeding 5th generation

I couldn't help to want more beautiful betta. So, i selected four pairs of betta : 1) 6205.4R x Blue.4R 2) 6207.8R x Monster.4R 3) 6206.4R x White w Blue tail.2R 4) 6208.8R x Green.4R . On 11/10/20,

I was delighted that there were so many fry for the first pair. But, i was a bit disappointed that the third pair was unsuccessful.

My record sale

I put up my most beautiful betta for sale in Trade Me at nzd 78 (Trade Me charged about 8% or $6.50)on 16/9/20. My intention was more of show off rather than sell it. This betta drawn a lot of attention from betta hobbyists. I was surprised that someone bid the fish one day before closing. The buyer, Bryce Reynold , collected the betta on 25/9/20. I was happy to get the money but sad to part company with my most awesome fish i bred so far.

5th generation betta is born - 12/9/20

I tried to breed four pairs of 4th generation betta at the same time. I used two plastic containers with divider as i was short of aquarium heater. The four pairs were: 1) Green with white head 8 rays(6201) x Copper 4 rays. 2) Blue 8 rays (6202) x Blue 4 rays. 3) White with blue pattern (6204) x Copper 2 rays. 4) Blue 4 rays(6205) x Green(95%) 4 rays. On 12/9/20, i was so delighted to find out that all four pairs were bred successfully. Hooray! Praise the Lord!
